Risk Based Process Safety (RBPS) is a comprehensive and structured approach developed by the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) to prevent and mitigate process safety incidents. RBPS focuses on managing risk throughout the lifecycle of a process, from design to decommissioning, using a system of 20 elements grouped into four foundational pillars. This framework is applicable to a wide range of industries, especially those involving hazardous materials or complex operations.
